Stairwells, Sushi, and Sisters...

So, I woke up thinking it was going to be a typical and ordinary Monday... not so much. So I got to work 7 minutes early, which is impressive for me since I am usually not so apt to get to work! I decided to be healthy and use the stairs to climb to the 6th floor of the building. It seems my intentions were all so noble, right? Well, as soon as I got to the door on our floor I turned the knob, but it didn't turn. Apparently I needed a key or access card to open the door! I kind of started to panic (those who know me would not find that hard to believe); however, I had my cell phone! I called my wonderful, lovely, and kind friend/co-worker Alondra to come and save me; she however was not at work yet. So, I sat in the stair shaft, all alone, by my lonesome until I heard a noise in the distance and started banging on the door. I was finally saved and ended up being 2 minutes late to work. So much for starting the week off early. :/ (Ok, a slight confession and side note: Before I entered the stairwell to begin my ascent to the 6th floor, a man told me "You might not be able to get out of there without a key or access card." I am so smart. I know.)

Later tonight, I had a little sushi rendezvous with two of my closest friends, Jessica and Ine, at Kabuki. Those two girls are some of my favorites!! I absolutely love them to pieces! Ine, of course, did not fail to entertain us with her loud and hilarious stories!

Finally, the night ended off quite deliciously with some jelly bean bonding with my sisters... Shannie and Sami! Love you two!!!!

  1. Seriously, Em, you would proceed up that stairwell and panic at the locked door. Too bad I wasn't there to brush your eyelashes for you and remind you to breathe.
